Stochastic Actor Oriented Models for Longitudinal Networks using RSiena
The workshop is designed to introduce you to the capabilities available in RSiena to estimate Stochastic Actor Oriented Models for Longitudinal Networks. You will learn how to input data and run simple models incorporating different parameters for one-mode and two-mode networks.
Emphasis will be placed in exploring and interpreting results as well as assessing Goodness of Fit and improving model behavior.
What you will need
- Prior to the start of the workshop, students should download R in their laptop computers, and install the package RSiena.
- R can be downloaded here. The package can be installed by simply opening R and going to "packages" in the main menu

About the instructor
Ramiro Berardo holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Florida State University. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Freshwater Sciences (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee).
